Dear Devotees & Friends,

Kindly note that we will not have our regular programme at the Sri Krishnan Temple, Waterloo Street on 26 June 2010 (Saturday). The temple will be closed from 6.15pm on account of the partial lunar eclipse.

The lunar eclipse lasts from 5.30pm to 10pm.

Instead, a house programme has been arranged to celebrate the bathing ceremony (Snana Yatra) of Sri Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baladeva & Subhadra from 4pm to 5.30pm followed by a discourse and kirtana.

We encourage all of you to chant Sri Krishna's Holy Names and engage in His glorification during the eclipse period.

What other more auspicious way is there to counteract
the negative vibrations of an eclipse?!

SRIMAD BHAGAVATAM 8.23.16

desha-kälärha-vastutah
sarvam karoti nischidram
anusankirtanam tava

TRANSLATION

There may be discrepancies in pronouncing the mantras and observing the regulative principles, and, moreover, there may be discrepancies in regard to time, place, person and paraphernalia. But when Your Lordship's holy name is chanted, everything becomes faultless.
